Jonah is far more than a children’s tale about a man swallowed by a big fish—it’s a powerful story of God’s mercy, mission, and second chances. It is a prophetic confrontation with the human heart and a stunning revelation of God’s relentless mercy.

 

During the next few weeks, we will explore how God pursues rebels, rescues runaways, reshapes hearts, and restores communities. Jonah is the story of a missionary who hated his mission, a prophet who resisted God’s grace, and a God whose compassion refuses to quit. 

 

This series invites us to see ourselves in Jonah, to reveal the depth of God’s mercy toward people we often overlook or avoid, to confront the ways we run from God in fear, prejudice, or stubbornness, to awaken the church to God’s mission in the world and our role in it, to show that God’s grace is not only for “them” it is for us, and finally to call the church to repentance, obedience, and renewed compassion.
